Grant Elementary School Accountability Report Card (2024-25)

Each year, every California public school publishes a School Accountability Report Card (SARC) so families can see how the school is doing. Here are some highlights from Grant's most recent report.

Strong academic results: In 2024-25, 71% of Grant students met or exceeded state standards in English language arts, up from 69% the year before. In math, 69% met or exceeded standards, up from 66%. Science results rose from 59% to 69%. On all three tests, Grant students scored well above both the district and state averages.

Qualified teachers and full materials: Grant's teachers are fully credentialed and properly assigned, and every student has their own copy of the core textbooks and instructional materials.

An exemplary campus: Grant's facilities earned the state's highest overall rating, Exemplary, in the most recent inspection (December 2025).

Safe and supportive: Grant had no expulsions, and its suspension rate (1.5%) stayed below the district and state rates. The school holds monthly safety drills and keeps adult supervision at recess and lunch.

A community that pitches in: Grant's PTA funds weekly PE classes and a garden specialist program. Families also volunteer as room parents, classroom helpers, and art docents, and they serve on the School Site Council.

Where we're focused: About 9% of students were chronically absent in 2024-25, meaning they missed 10% or more of the school year. Improving attendance is one of the goals in our School Plan for Student Achievement.
