Food Services

At Petaluma City Schools, our vision is to cultivate a school food program that serves as a model of equity, dignity, and health, where every student has access to nourishing meals, every food service worker is valued and empowered, and every meal is an opportunity for learning and connection.

All students are welcome to enjoy a breakfast and a lunch every school day, free of charge, regardless of their eligibility status. We do ask our families to complete an application for the National School Lunch Program each year to help our district qualify for important funding and support California’s Universal Meals program.

Our PCS Nutrition Services Department is made up of a team of food and nutrition professionals who are dedicated to providing every student daily access to fresh, nutritious meals that meet or exceed federal and state requirements.  They work to create a school food environment that not only nurtures bodies and minds, but also contributes to the creation of a more just and sustainable food system and cultivates a deep appreciation for the transformative power of food in our lives and communities.

To contact a member of our team in English or Spanish, call (707) 200-7938 or email us at pcsfood@petk12.org. You can visit the PCS Food Services website for more information.
