There are many ways for parents and guardians to get involved in our school community. We invite you to volunteer in a classroom or any of our school-wide events. We have a number of parent groups on campus that are always looking for fresh ideas and faces. We hope you will consider attending and joining the following groups:
Petaluma City Schools welcomes and values parent and community volunteers in our schools and at our school activities. We have many opportunities for you to help our students! If you are interested in being an athletic, classroom, field trip or parent volunteer, please contact the school you would like to support. In some cases, fingerprinting will be required.
Volunteer NowThe PTA is an important part of our school's community. It connects parents, teachers and administrators in supporting the needs of our students and school.
The SCC is comprised of the principal, staff, and family members. We discuss, improve, and approve important documents including the Safe Schools Plan and the Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA).
Elections for members of the School Site Council are held annually. If you are interested in being a member of SSC, please contact our principal. We look forward to working with you to continue improving our school!

ELAC is a group of parents and community members who work with the school to improve programs and services for English learners. ELAC members advise on things like curriculum, parent outreach, and attendance. Join us to advocate for your child's success!
The mission of the McKinley PTA is to provide experiential learning for all McKinley students. Membership is $10.00 per person. Sponsored memberships are available.
