Course Description

Students work in teams to produce a daily news type show for the rest of the school, informing viewers of the events and opportunities at PHS and the greater community. Students learn broadcast techniques by working through the different roles of a TV news station. Students also learn how to research a story and distill it down to clear sound bites that are then reported back to the viewers. Students will have the opportunity to gain broadcast performance experience through writing, anchor positions, and field reporter roles. This course meets the Subject Area “g” requirement of the UC/CSU approved course list
