Casa Capstone

The Casa Capstone is a special opportunity for seniors to show how they exemplify the four pillars of the Graduate Profile. Students are formally interviewed about their high school experience, service hours, classes taken, extra-curriculars and other involvements as they relate to the Graduate Profile. The Casa Capstone challenges students in unexpected ways and reveals their unique abilities. It encourages students to make connections between themselves and their experiences to skills and qualities upheld in the community and school-wide. 

Casa Grande High School Graduate Profile

Broadly Literate:

I am a critical thinker, a problem-solver, and an effective communicator across disciplines.  I can write, speak, and read well. I ask good questions; I can evaluate the credibility of a claim; and I can empathize with and appreciate multiple points of view.

Highly Employable:

I have the skills, the attitude, and the work-ethic to be a success in the workplace.  I am a self-starter, I am reliable, flexible and punctual, and I have integrity.  I present and dress professionally in the workplace. 

Civically Engaged:

 I stay informed, I respect a diversity of views, I participate in the political process, and I understand my rights and the rights of others.  I understand how the choices I make have a Personal, Local, and Global impact. 

Personal Vision:

I have goals and dreams; I am a lifelong learner; I maintain a healthy lifestyle; I am resilient, self-motivated, and willing to take risks, and I can navigate pathways to post-secondary education and career choices.

Casa Capstone Timeline 2026-27

Fall Semester

By September:

• Introduce the Casa Capstone and Four Graduate Profile Outcomes (during English class)
• Complete the Casa Capstone 20 Volunteer Hours Proposal Google Form (during Government/Economics class)

By October:

• Create Google Drive for Capstone photos, documents, etc. (done during Government/Economics class)
• Complete the Parent/Guardian Contract

By November:

• Submit 1st Draft on About Me (English class)

By December:

• Submit Final Draft on About Me (English class)

Spring Semester

By January/February:

• Create websites (Government/Economics class)

By March:

• Submit drafts of Reflection on Graduate Profile Outcomes (English class)

By April:

• Submit Final Draft of Reflection on Graduate Profile Outcomes (English class)
• Submit Casa Capstone Service Outcomes (English class)

By May:

• Verification of Hours required & Final Reflections (English/Government/Economics classes)
• Senior Capstone website review by staff
• Complete website and prepare for final grade (English/Government/Economics classes)
• Begin interview practice during English classes
• Casa Capstone Interview - Wednesday, May 26, 2027 at 4:30pm
