Registration for the 2026–2027 school year will begin soon! School counselors will be visiting classrooms by grade level to review course options, and students will complete a Google Form to select their courses for next year. Counselors will also be visiting local middle schools during the week of January 26th to assist incoming 9th-grade students with registration.
The deadline for all students to submit their course selection form is Friday, January 30th.
Please note the following important reminders:
- While every effort is made to honor students’ first-choice courses, all students must select backup/alternate classes.
- This is an especially busy time for counselors, and response times to emails and phone calls may be longer than usual.
- After registration closes, counselors will review individual student requests and will reach out if there are any questions or concerns.
- If a student is absent on the day of registration, they can still complete the google form on their own and can contact their counselor with any questions.
Information about course offerings, graduation requirements, and A–G requirements is available on the PHS Counseling Website. The PHS Course Catalog, which includes descriptions of all classes offered at PHS, can also be found there. Additionally, AP/Honors Night will be happening on Wednesday, January 14th at 5:30 pm. Students interested in taking AP or Honors courses next school year should plan on attending this event.

Class of 2028 (Sophomores) – 11th Grade Course Selection Form - Friday, January 23rd (during Advisory):
Class of 2029 (Freshmen) – 10th Grade Course Selection Form- Counselors will be visiting 9th grade English classes on January 8th and 9th to go over graduation and A-G requirements, along with 4 year plans to help prepare them for their registration
- Week of January 26th (counselors visit 8th grade schools):
Class of 2030 (Incoming 9th Grade) – 9th Grade Course Selection Form - Friday, January 30th: Final deadline for all students to submit their Google Form using their petk12 email address

Graduation Credit Requirements:
- Classes of 2027 and 2028: 220 credits required for graduation
- Class of 2029 and beyond: 250 credits required for graduation
