Casa Grande High School's hatchery program has been a cornerstone of our school for 40 years. Managed by Mr. Dan Hubacker, a former student of the program, it offers two classes: Environmental Conservation and Restoration (ENCR) for beginners, and Field Studies for advanced students. ENCR students learn about animal interactions and local ecosystems, while Field Studies provides hands-on experiences with hatchery maintenance and community involvement. The program, which relies on fundraising and donations to sustain its operations, includes traditions like Happy Week and the Bear Test. Students in the program appreciate the strong sense of community and hands-on learning, making it a unique and valuable experience.
At Casa Grande High School, we are dedicated to prioritizing the mental well-being of every student. We believe that a supportive and nurturing environment is key to student success and happiness. By fostering a culture of care and understanding, we strive to ensure that each student feels valued, supported, and equipped to thrive both academically and personally.
