Valley Vista Public Waldorf School Accountability Report Card (2024-25)

Valley Vista Public Waldorf School SARC

Each year, every California public school publishes a School Accountability Report Card (SARC) so families can see how the school is doing. Valley Vista Public Waldorf opened as a new school on July 1, 2025, so this first report doesn't yet include test scores or attendance data. Those will appear in next year's report. Here's what this year's report shows.

A new TK-8 school: Valley Vista Public Waldorf serves about 450 students in transitional kindergarten through 8th grade on a nine-acre campus. Waldorf-inspired teaching is woven into a standards-aligned public school program, with art, music, movement, drama, handwork, gardening, and library programs part of every student's week.

Support for every learner: Along with classroom teachers, students are supported by:

  • a Bilingual Resource Teacher and a reading specialist
  • two resource specialists with assistants, a speech and language specialist, and an occupational therapist
  • a guidance specialist, a licensed marriage and family therapist, a school psychologist, and a student advisor
  • movement, handwork, library, and garden specialists

Every student has their own copy of the core textbooks and instructional materials.

An exemplary campus: The school's facilities earned the state's highest overall rating, Exemplary, in the most recent inspection (December 2025).

Safe and prepared: The school holds monthly safety drills, and staff train with North Bay Security on emergency procedures. An on-site emergency shed is stocked with water, food, and supplies for every student, and each year staff spend a professional development afternoon on first aid, student release, and emergency scenarios.

A community that shapes the school: Families take part through the Family Guild, ELAC, the Charter Advisory Council, the Team for Inclusivity, Diversity and Equity (T.I.D.E.), TechWise, Class Coordinators, and The Foundation for Petaluma Public Waldorf. Every family is welcome at these meetings. Volunteers help in classrooms and the garden and bring community events to life, from Cena Latina to seasonal festivals.

Where we're focused: As a new school bringing two communities together, our first priority is making sure every student feels connected to a trusted adult on campus. That's the first goal in our School Plan for Student Achievement.
