Hey, Class of 2025! This is your one-stop spot for everything you need to know about your upcoming Senior Activities. From prom to graduation, Senior Breakfast to Senior Sunset, we’ve got all the details you’ll need to make your final year unforgettable. Senior Activities

Friday, June 6, 2024 at 4:30pm on the football field

Seniors must be in the GYM by 3:30pm

Livestream of CGHS Graduation (will be added when stream is live)

  • No guest limit, graduates will sit on the field with staff.  All guests will be seated in the grandstands on either side of the field. The stadium opens at 2pm. Saving seats and umbrellas will not be permitted in the grandstands.
  • Special Seating is available for family members who have medical conditions and are unable to sit in the grandstands. Special seating tickets are available on a first come first served basis from Mrs. Franco in the Main Office. 
    • Limit 4 per senior.
    • Dates for pickup:  May 27th through May 30th

    • Location: Main Office

       

What needs to be done before Graduation?

ORDER your Cap, Gown, and Tassel. To order only a cap & gown please click here.

TURN IN your Graduation Contract.  Given to all Seniors in Gov/Econ classes from (dates TBD)

  • Must be returned to Gov/Econ Teacher by (date TBD)

SIGN-UP for Graduation Seating.  Given to all Seniors in Gov/Econ classes from (dates TBD)

  • Must be returned to Mr. McSweeney (R-5) by (date TBD)

RETURN your Chromebook. YOU MUST RETURN YOUR CHROMEBOOK BEFORE you get your cap and gown.

  • No hay límite de invitados, los graduados se sentarán en el campo con el personal.  Todos los invitados se sentarán en las tribunas a ambos lados del campo. El estadio abre a las 2pm. No se permitirá guardar asientos ni sombrillas en las tribunas.
  • Hay asientos especiales disponibles para familiares que tienen condiciones médicas y no pueden sentarse en las tribunas. Los boletos para asientos especiales están disponibles por orden de llegada con la Sra. Franco en la oficina principal.

Prom Contract

Project Graduation's Safe and Sober Party was originally started in 1980 in Maine to prevent fatalities among graduating seniors during promotion season.

The Sonoma County Project Grad project was founded in 1987 in response to increasing drug and alcohol use among students on their graduation night.  Statistically this is the most dangerous night of the year for young people.

The party generally lasts from 9 PM on graduation night until 3 AM the following morning and is fully chaperoned and operated by 100% volunteer parents and community members.  Without this volunteer support, we could not have this wonderful event!

For many students, the party is the last event that draws the graduating class together (over 80% of seniors attend this party).  The Casa Grande Project Graduation party is open to those seniors graduating from Casa Grande, Sonoma Mountain, Valley Oaks, and San Antonio High Schools.  The goal of Sonoma County Project Grad is to provide outgoing seniors with a substance free celebration to commemorate their graduation - and to ensure that they all live to see the sunrise.

  • When do Seniors get their cap, gown, tassel, and SLC Cluster cords? / ¿Cuándo reciben los Seniors su toga, birrete, borla y cordones del SLC Cluster?

    Cap, Gown, and Tassel.  Students can pick up in the Gym immediately after graduation practice on Wednesday, June 4.  All fees and fines must be paid before picking up the Cap and Gown.  Chromebooks must also be returned prior to picking up your Cap, Gown, and Tassel.

    SLC Cluster Cords will be distributed through 11th Grade Cluster Social Studies teachers.

     

    Toga, birrete y borla.  Los estudiantes pueden recogerlos en el gimnasio inmediatamente después de la práctica de graduación el miércoles 4 de junio. Todas las tarifas y multas deben pagarse antes de recoger la toga y el birrete.  Los Chromebook también deben devolverse antes de recoger la toga y el birrete.
