ParentSquare
Petaluma City Schools uses ParentSquare for all district and school communication.
Parent Log in Student Log inEvery parent/guardian and student automatically gets an account created from the contact information in Aeries, so you receive important, urgent, and emergency messages. Log in to download the app and choose when and how you're notified.
With ParentSquare you can:
- Get school messages by email, text, or app notification, either as they're sent or in one daily summary at 6 PM
- Read and send messages in your preferred language
- Message teachers and staff directly, and take part in group messages
- Sign up for parent-teacher conferences
- Make payments, sign forms and permission slips, get report cards, and sign up to volunteer, all from your phone or computer
Attendance notes
If your student is marked absent or tardy and it wasn't excused during the day, you'll receive an attendance notice that evening via the app, email, or text. It's the same notice; however, it arrives in different ways, so open whichever one you see first.
To excuse the absence:
- Open the attendance notice.
- Tap or click Send Note to School.
- Enter the reason for the absence and tap or click Submit.
Your note goes straight to the school's attendance office.
Important: replying to the text or email does not excuse the absence. You must open the notice in the ParentSquare app or website and submit a note.
Didn't get a notice? Contact your school office. If you know your student will be absent in advance, you can report the absence.
Notices stay visible for three weeks. For older absences, contact your school office.
